Expedite Media Group named to the Inc. 5,000

AURORA, IL—Web site design and internet marketing firm Expedite Media Group received word last month that they will be named to Inc. magazine’s Inc. 5,000 list for 2008. Expedite not only placed within the top half of the list at number 1,800, but they also rank at number 67 out of the top 100 businesses in the metropolitan Chicago area. Described as “the most influential business club in America,” the list, which recognizes the fastest growing companies in the United States, is comprised by 5,000 businesses and corporations nationwide.

Inc. magazine ranks businesses based on their percentage of revenue growth, with the companies reporting the highest percentage of growth being placed at the top of the list. To be named to the 2008 list, organizations had to be generating profit within the first week of 2004 through the last week of 2007, which would require qualifying businesses to produce sales numbers within the designated four year period.

Furthermore, each company had to be based in the United States, privately held and independent, meaning that they were not a division or subsidiary of another company between the beginning of 2004 and the end of 2007. Also, revenue in 2004 had to have been no less than $200,000, while revenue in 2007 must have been at least $2 million.

The list places Expedite Media Group in the company of businesses such as MemberHealth, Cedar Point Communications and Massage Envy. The Inc. 5,000 is a list of the elite—a mere sliver of the more than seven million companies throughout the country, and the team at Expedite feels that this impartial benchmark is recognition and proof that their hard work has paid off.
